Renee Gerber graduated from Ft. Wayne Bible College with a degree in counseling. She worked in the behavioral health field for nine years before transitioning into managed care.
Renee is the former Director of Payor Strategies at Parkview Health. While at Parkview, Renee gained experience in bundle payments by creating an orthopedic bundle program for the Plain Church communities in northeast Indiana. During this time, she also received her master’s in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan.
For two years Renee ran a solo-consulting firm, specializing in healthcare reimbursement strategies until joining OrthoIndy in 2013 as the Manager of Payor Relations.
Now the Director of Strategy, Renee is responsible for strategic planning and payor relations. She manages OrthoIndy’s governmental and commercial bundle payment programs, including Medicare’s Comprehensive Joint Replacement program (CJR) and Optum Health’s Spine & Joint Center of Excellence.
