Chris Whaley

Chris Whaley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health. He received his PhD in Health Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Chris’ research focuses on health care price transparency and market structure. His research has been published in leading clinical, health policy, and economics journals and has been covered in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and CNN.

Chris has presented results to state and federal policy makers, including the US Congress, California State Assembly, Texas House Select Committee on Health Care Reform, Executive Office of the President, Congressional Budget Office, and the Federal Trade
Commission.
